How do I register for a Press Pass?
Anyone wanting to register as press will have to go through an approval process. To register as press please click on the Press Registration button on the right hand side of the welcome page. Begin a New Registration. It will ask you to upload some of your work which will speed up the approval process. Once you have completed your registration online you will be sent an email, please note that this is not a confirmation email. If you have registered in previous years you will still need to complete the new registration process as you will need to be verified. Your registration will then be processed by our Press Officer.
Am I eligible for a Press Pass?
Employees (technicians, managers etc) of television and radio stations and similar organisations comprise thousands of IBC’s visitors. You are not eligible for press accreditation if you are:
part of a delegation
a freelance journalist or photographer without a recognised press card
representing a government body
representing a broadcast facility
representing a channel
reporting back to a broadcast organisation or government body
Members of the media eligible for accreditation must produce proof that they are:
affiliated to a Media Supporter or Media Partner
an individual or part of a team reporting on or from the show to the wider global audience
able to produce reports from past IBC's
able to produce editorial relevant to the industry
an analyst reporting on the industry, with particular reference to IBC
Photographers and video journalists are not considered press unless they can prove that they are reporting directly from the show and verify who they are reporting for.
Photographers who have been commissioned to take photographs of exhibitors’ stands are not eligible and should apply to the appropriate exhibitor(s) for a visitor ticket.
Bloggers are not considered eligible unless they can upload acceptable verification of their status. Youtube material is not acceptable as proof of media status.

How do I register for a Student pass?
To register as a student click on New Registration and you will see options for student passes. You will need to provide IBC with information about your course, details of your school and valid student ID to verify your student status. How do I register for an Exhibitor pass?
To register for an Exhibitor Pass you need to log in though the Exhibitor Zone using your company’s user name and password that was provided to you when your exhibition space was allocated. Please speak to your exhibitor co-ordinator to register as an exhibitor. A standard visitor’s pass will not grant you the correct access.

What is included in my registration, and how much will it cost?
Registration to the IBC Exhibition includes access to all fourteen halls and the free “added value” sections of the show. IBC Conference registration comes in several packages which allow different levels of access to the thought provoking sessions, as well as free access to the exhibition. How do I use my exhibitor customer code?

Do I need a visa?
You may be required to provide a Visa for entry into The Netherlands. Please visit the
Dutch Embassy website
for more information. During your registration you will have the opportunity to request a visa invitation letter that you can provide to your relevant Embassy to aid your application. Please be aware that the visa process can take several weeks. Please note that this is a letter of support for your application to the Dutch Embassy and is not a valid visa.
I have already registered how can I upgrade my pass or request a visa letter?
To upgrade your pass you will need to log into Your Account using the username and password you created when you registered. Once logged in you can change your pass type and add items to your registration as well as request visa letters. Please

I registered for IBC last year and my log in details no longer work.
The log in details for "Your Account" need to be changed each year. Please use the Alumni lookup on the welcome page to find your record and complete your registration.
I have lost my barcode
If you have lost your barcode it will be resent to you in the week prior to the show, it can also be found when you log in to "Your Account".
I need an invoice for my registration
If you have paid for a pass the invoice should be sent to your email address automatically. This will have your address provided, company name and details of the pass you have brought. It will also have the necessary VAT information. If you have not received this or need it altered please contact
How do I pick up my badge?
Please bring the confirmation email on your phone or printed to Amsterdam. If you do not have a confirmation email you can look up your registration details using your email address or confirmation number. Please note the QR code/barcode can be scanned directly from a smart phone.
What do I need to bring with me to IBC?
When you register you will be sent a confirmation email. Please bring this with you to gain entry to the show. If you have lost your confirmation email it will be resent to you in the week prior to the show, it can also be found when you login to “Your Account”. Please note the QR codes and Barcodes can be scanned directly from a smart phone.
I have registered and I now cannot attend what can I do?
If you have completed your registration and can no longer attend you have a couple of options.
1. The following cancellation terms apply to Gold, Silver and Bronze passes:
Day of booking until 7 August: 25% cancellation charge
8 August until 21 August: 50% cancellation charge
22 August onwards: 100% cancellation charge
Please note that written notice of cancellation must be received by IBC or its nominee within the aforementioned periods. You can cancel your order by sending the notice of cancellation by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or fax to +44(0) 20 7832 4130 ensuring that you quote your name, address and your registration reference code. If no notice of cancellation is received no refund can be made.
2. Changing the pass into a colleague’s name. To do this please email the confirmation number on the email along with the full name of the new ticket holder and the email address for them to

Children under the age of 16 are not permitted anywhere at IBC.
